YUNDHYÁ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adhemar Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Nilson de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Breckenfeld in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Aracnídeos's Waldir Breckenfeld ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Nilson de Amaral. Nilson de Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Nilson de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldir Breckenfeld in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in YUNDHYÁ's zone, Waldir Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nilson de Amaral came out of the goal and Waldir Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yuri Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Meirelles in the 43rd minute of the match. If Yuri Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldir Breckenfeld to make the kick off. Luisão Madureira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Dalmo Siqueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 56th minute of the match Josué Corrêa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Josué Corrêa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 57 played minutes YUNDHYÁ got a freekick which was hit by Josué Corrêa. The supporters of YUNDHYÁ booed when Aracnídeos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldir Breckenfeld in the 67th minute of play forced YUNDHYÁ's goalkeeper Nilson de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 minutes, Artur Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aracnídeos and the YUNDHYÁ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Aracnídeos got a freekick which was hit by Artur Gerber. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldir Breckenfeld in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nilson de Amaral saved YUNDHYÁ from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Waldir Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aracnídeos's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilson de Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adhemar Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilson de Amaral having to interfere. Adhemar Luz struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Nilson de Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aracnídeos. Yuri Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Adhemar Luz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nilson de Amaral. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aracnídeos fans cheered their team off the field, for while YUNDHYÁ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
