After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Lúcio Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laranja Mecânica FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lúcio Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Lopez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernani Alagoano in the 17th minute of play forced Laranja Mecânica FC's goalkeeper Wincent Plaski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amílton Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Wincent Plaski made a huge save. Ernani Alagoano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wincent Plaski having to make a save. Laranja Mecânica FC's Wincent Plaski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Laranja Mecânica FC from getting a goal against them. Amílton Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amílton Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Wincent Plaski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wincent Plaski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernani Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernani Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laranja Mecânica FC's Wincent Plaski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Laranja Mecânica FC from getting a goal against them. When Lúcio Meira came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Laranja Mecânica FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lúcio Meira couldn't finish the play. Amílton Medeiros came free with the goalkeeper in the 48th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wincent Plaski could save by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ernani Alagoano to strike the kick off in the second half. The Laranja Mecânica FC fans' excitement grew in the 51st match minute when Laranja Mecânica FC's Lúcio Meira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ernani Alagoano struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Wincent Plaski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thiago futebol club. Nico Lopez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Meira in the 65th minute of play. Laranja Mecânica FC's Wincent Plaski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Alagoano in the 66th minute of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Laranja Mecânica FC's goalkeeper Wincent Plaski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nico Lopez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes, Marcial Ireno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Laranja Mecânica FC and the Thiago futebol club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Marcial Ireno hit a great ball. Nelson Loyola hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Amílton Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Ernani Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Zé Pedro Amorim hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
