The supporters of Sobralia booed when Campolongo club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Geovanni das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hortêncio Veiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilian Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. When Geovanni das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Sobralia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanni das Neves couldn't finish the play. In the 14thth minute of the game Hortêncio Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sobralia's Wilian Miranda was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jean Maranhense fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sobralia's protests and gave Jean Maranhense a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, one of Sobralia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sobralia. When the match had been going on for 18 minutes, Campolongo club's Wanderson Braga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilian Miranda. Wilian Miranda didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After having played for 25 minutes, Geovanni das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sobralia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovanni das Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Campolongo club's zone, Magno Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Rossi came out of the goal and Magno Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Campolongo club's Bruninho Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Nogueira in the 30th minute of play. If Geovanni das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 37 played minutes Sobralia got a freekick which was hit by Jean Maranhense. Luís Fontes hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Magno Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Campolongo club fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 47th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Sobralia a penalty, 49 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jean Maranhense, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Campolongo club's Bruninho Rossi. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Nogueira made a kick off. Geovanni das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Bruninho Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Campolongo club's zone, Geovanni das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruninho Rossi came out of the goal and Geovanni das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hortêncio Veiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilian Miranda having to make a save. Caco Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Nogueira in the 72nd minute of play forced Campolongo club's goalkeeper Bruninho Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Brodel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilian Miranda having to make a save. In the 79th minute Caco Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilian Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sobralia's Wilian Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hortêncio Veiga in the 80th minute of play. Bruninho Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni das Neves in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to Campolongo club getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Benedito Vale hit a great ball. Magno Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lúcio Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Nogueira in the 91st minute of play forced Campolongo club's goalkeeper Bruninho Rossi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Sobralia's Jean Maranhense got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Campolongo club's Wanderson Braga tried to score from far away in the 93rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Magno Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sobralia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Campolongo club.
