Claudinho Rossi started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Irai EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Sobralia's Jean Maranhense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Irai EC. Geovanni das Neves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Nogueira in the 10th minute of play forced Irai EC's goalkeeper Augusto Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute André Dante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Irai EC defense, Magno Nogueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Augusto Guerra. The Irai EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Augusto Guerra should have stopped the shot. Irai EC's Augusto Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Reis in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to Irai EC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Pedro Maidana hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovanni das Neves in the 28th minute of play forced Irai EC's goalkeeper Augusto Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Sobralia's André Dante nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Wilian Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinho Rossi, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Irai EC's Augusto Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geovanni das Neves in the 39th minute of play. Geovanni das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Augusto Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Augusto Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Dante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Irai EC's goalkeeper Augusto Guerra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Irai EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sobralia were winning 0-2.

If Doaej Al Enzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irai EC's Augusto Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Nogueira in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Sobralia's Geovanni das Neves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Guerra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Irai EC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Danilo Cardoso hit a great ball. Jean Maranhense was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 68th minute. Sobralia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 68 played minutes Irai EC got a freekick which was hit by Dé Ferreira. If Doaej Al Enzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Magno Nogueira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Augusto Guerra. That made the score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Irai EC's goal looked a bit too open when Magno Nogueira came free, but Augusto Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Claudinho Rossi hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Irai EC's Augusto Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magno Nogueira in the 85th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Sobralia's Augusto Guerra threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Dante, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When the final whistle sounded Sobralia left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Irai EC.
