The audience was convinced that Manoel Tepedino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcus Montenegro was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 9th minute Zé Carlos Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Souza in the 13th minute of play. Zé Carlos Souza struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Marcus Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iacri. Ulisses Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celsinho Linhares in the 22nd minute of the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Carlos Souza was the one to do the kick off. Cássio Freire's late challenge caught a Iacri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cássio Freire helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, RUBRONEGRO CRF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Freire to maneuver through the defense. Manoel Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Marcus Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Carlos Souza in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Manoel Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Iacri could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than RUBRONEGRO CRF throughout the match.
