Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Elivélton Linhares took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, Muleque de Vila's Arnaldo Paraíba got control of the ball when Faustão Souza tried to sneak it across the goal line. Faustão Souza was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Araraquara SS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Frank Koehler struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Arnaldo Paraíba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araraquara SS. Arnaldo Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Koehler in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Zé Carlos Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustão Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Koehler in the 23rd minute of play. Tony Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elivélton Linhares's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Faustão Souza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Arnaldo Paraíba was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. João Vítor Barral struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Tony Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muleque de Vila. The audience was convinced that João Vítor Barral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Salles was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 43 played minutes Araraquara SS got a freekick which was hit by Elias Ramalho. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Vítor Barral in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Koehler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Frank Koehler made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faustão Souza in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Paraíba prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Faustão Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Frank Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Araraquara SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Koehler couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Araraquara SS booed when Muleque de Vila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Cerezo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Koehler in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute Frank Koehler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Paraíba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Faustão Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araraquara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faustão Souza in the 74th minute of play forced Muleque de Vila's goalkeeper Arnaldo Paraíba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustão Souza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnaldo Paraíba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Marcel de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Faustão Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Paraíba having to interfere. Arnaldo Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustão Souza in the 97th minute of play. Araraquara SS's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
