Túlio de Senna was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 6th match minute, Marova SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Abel de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Kléber Soares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Serginho Ribeiro, passed just outside the right post. In the 12th minute, Angelo Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Kléber Soares kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Serginho Ribeiro. That made the score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agnaldo Nunes during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 16 played minutes Marova SS got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Nunes. Angelo Trancoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Ribeiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sopro F.C.'s Tony Brodel got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Agnaldo Nunes got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Sopro F.C. booed when Marova SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Túlio de Senna hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Angelo Trancoso made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Ribeiro. Sopro F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Angelo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abel de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Abel de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemente Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Angelo Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. When Fellipe Arce came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Marova SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fellipe Arce couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Angelo Trancoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marova SS's Kléber Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angelo Trancoso might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Serginho Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Angelo Trancoso ran back to his position shaking his head. Kléber Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Serginho Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Angelo Trancoso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serginho Ribeiro was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. A collision led to Sopro F.C. getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Mathias Sena hit a great ball. Angelo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Marova SS's Dorival Teixeira in 67 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Serginho Ribeiro guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Adalberto Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 76 in the game by Clemente Vaz from a close distance when the talented Abel de Almeida managed to make a qualified save. Marova SS's players were relieved. Angelo Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Serginho Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute Angelo Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Marova SS were the better team. Marova SS's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
