An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Gomes in the 10th minute of play forced Itahu EC's goalkeeper Falcão Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Itahu EC booed when Itapina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Luiz Fábio Silveira made a precise shot to the right of Falcão Mazza. Itahu EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Olívio Tande fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itapina's protests and gave Olívio Tande a yellow card for diving instead. Elder Barral hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Teodoro Gomes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Falcão Mazza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alain Biard in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Conrado de Castro saved Itapina from getting behind. After 35 played minutes Itapina got a freekick which was hit by Tales Meirelles. Conrado de Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alain Biard's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Teodoro Gomes scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Mazza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Itapina's zone, Pedro Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Conrado de Castro came out of the goal and Pedro Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alain Biard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Itahu EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itapina were winning 0-4.

Pedro Jacinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Conrado de Castro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Jacinto ran back to his position shaking his head. 59 minutes into the match, Itahu EC's Alain Biard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado de Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alain Biard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado de Castro having to interfere. 67 minutes into the game, Cícero Vergílio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Conrado de Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Itahu EC's Cícero Vergílio got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fábio Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Falcão Mazza having to interfere. Falcão Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fábio Silveira in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Itapina booed when Itahu EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falcão Mazza was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Luiz Fábio Silveira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Fábio Silveira really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Cauã Gomes hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Conrado de Castro came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Itahu EC's Alain Biard. But to his dismay, Alain Biard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. Itahu EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Tales Meirelles scored to the left of an out of position Falcão Mazza, making the score, 2-6.
