The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Andrade EC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Jailson Paranaense hit a great ball. After 5 minutes, Hortêncio Seco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Andrade EC and the kaneciis players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of kaneciis booed when Andrade EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute Maicon Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho da Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Andrade EC's zone, Gilson Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandinho da Rocha came out of the goal and Gilson Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th match minute, Andrade EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Lopez to maneuver through the defense. Jailson Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernandinho da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilson Ramos in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, kaneciis's goalkeeper Oscar Varela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jailson Ramos. Fernandinho da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Ramos in the 25th minute of the match. After having played for 29 minutes, Gilson Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. kaneciis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson Ramos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fábio Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Seco in the 35th minute of play forced kaneciis's goalkeeper Oscar Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Válbson Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Barbosa in the 42nd minute of play forced kaneciis's goalkeeper Oscar Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee showed Wilian Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Wilian Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilson Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Oscar Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jailson Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute, Válbson Barbosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Andrade EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Oscar Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válbson Barbosa in the 58th minute of the match. Válbson Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Varela having to interfere. In the 62nd minute of the match Diego Lopez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Varela showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Jailson Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandinho da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Ramos in the 71st minute of the match. If Válbson Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oscar Varela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Válbson Barbosa made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Varela. kaneciis's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. 88 minutes into the match, Maicon Custódio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernandinho da Rocha, 2-1. Oscar Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Seco in the 91st minute of play. Válbson Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Diego Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Andrade EC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
