In the 3rd minute Tales Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertino Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ajax FC's Yuri Neto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Ajax FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Ajax FC's Yuri Neto got control of the ball when Benjamim Cearense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albertino Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jailson Couto in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th match minute, Ajax FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Couto to maneuver through the defense. Sandrinho Sá charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandrinho Sá the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Ajax FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ErvaSanta FC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, ErvaSanta FC's Ulysses Pena got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Yuri Neto. In the 19th minute, Benjamim Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th match minute, ErvaSanta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Claudinei Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albertino Borges. ErvaSanta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claudinei Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, ErvaSanta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Viana came free, but Albertino Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tales Vides took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albertino Borges. Albertino Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rafael Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Yuri Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Ulysses Pena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Yuri Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Mesquita in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Rafael Mesquita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57 minutes, Rafael Mesquita made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ajax FC's Yuri Neto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute of the match César Fantini shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri Neto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 62nd minute, Benjamim Cearense got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Rafael Mesquita notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Ajax FC's Yuri Neto. Yuri Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. César Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Yuri Neto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute of the match César Fantini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yuri Neto skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax FC's zone, Benjamim Cearense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Neto came out of the goal and Benjamim Cearense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ErvaSanta FC's Rafael Mesquita got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benjamim Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Yuri Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ajax FC's Claudinei Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ErvaSanta FC's Albertino Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save ErvaSanta FC from getting a goal against them. Ajax FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
