The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 19 minutes, Murilo Linares mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cochinho and the Trovão FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Murilo Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reginaldo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Varela in the 23rd minute of play. When Trovão FC's Claudinho de Azevedo in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 31 minutes, Emanuel Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trovão FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cochinho's Reginaldo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Teles in the 35th minute of play. Emanuel Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Reginaldo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Emanuel Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Teles in the 48th minute of play forced Cochinho's goalkeeper Reginaldo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Cochinho players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Trovão FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulysses Mota made a kick off. The supporters of Trovão FC booed when Cochinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Linares didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Emanuel Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trovão FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reginaldo Salgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emanuel Teles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Salgado having to interfere. Cochinho's Reginaldo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho de Azevedo in the 60th minute of play. Laércio Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rdth minute of the game Ulysses Mota who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trovão FC's Eurico Paes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
