Sandrinho Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gilson Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Fastama Top FC defense, William Moraes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gilson Meireles. The Fastama Top FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gilson Meireles should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that William Moraes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilson Meireles was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Fastama Top FC's Arnaldo Matorin got a free kick in the 13th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Papacudacabeçaroxa F.C's Víktor Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilson Meireles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Trancoso in the 21st minute of play forced Papacudacabeçaroxa F.C's goalkeeper Manoel Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute William Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilson Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandrinho Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Sanches notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Fastama Top FC's Gilson Meireles. Gilson Meireles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute William Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Moraes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilson Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandrinho Sanches in the 35th minute of play. When William Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Papacudacabeçaroxa F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that William Moraes couldn't finish the play. Cléberson Trancoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Manoel Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Papacudacabeçaroxa F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Cléberson Trancoso scored to the left of an out of position Manoel Varela, making the score, 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléberson Trancoso was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Fastama Top FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Dráusio Santana hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sandrinho Sanches in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilson Meireles saved Fastama Top FC from getting behind. 65 minutes into the game, Fastama Top FC's Celso Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manoel Varela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Fastama Top FC's Gilson Meireles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Fastama Top FC from getting a goal against them. In the 73rd minute Celso Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manoel Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. William Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Meireles having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fastama Top FC's Arnaldo Matorin got a free kick in the 81st minute. When Arnaldo Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Fastama Top FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Matorin couldn't finish the play.
