Humberto Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Hermes, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Jonathan Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raí Paranaense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. If Flávio Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The attack was good, but when Ramón Sabóia in the 35th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 37th minute, Aníbal França got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute, Nuno Hermes made a precise shot to the right of Humberto Gaúcho. XR Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramón Sabóia made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Ramón Sabóia put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Raí Paranaense. Gilvan Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Raí Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualter Valladares charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualter Valladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal França got free with Humberto Gaúcho in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. XR Futebol Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
