Ernesto Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Afonsinho Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Dantas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafinha Peres's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Barranceira SC's Frédson Andrade nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nildo Dantas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 21 minutes, Gláuber Schmidt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Inveia AD and the Barranceira SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Inveia AD! Nildo Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wilian Netto went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Inveia AD getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Armindo Nogueira hit a great ball. The long shot by Wilian Netto in the 27th minute really tested Nildo Dantas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafinha Peres in the 31st minute of play forced Inveia AD's goalkeeper Nildo Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inveia AD's goalkeeper Nildo Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernesto Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nildo Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frédson Andrade in the 44th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Cláudio Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barranceira SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nildo Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frédson Andrade in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Schmidt to make the kick off. Rafinha Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Nildo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Senna having to interfere. Nildo Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafinha Peres in the 58th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Dorian Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilian Netto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nildo Dantas. Inveia AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rafinha Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Nildo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Inveia AD's Silvério Paes got a free kick in the 64th minute. Rafinha Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nildo Dantas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafinha Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafinha Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barranceira SC's Rafinha Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Afonsinho Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 79 minutes, Afonsinho Senna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Barranceira SC defense, Ernesto Schmidt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Senna. The Barranceira SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Senna should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafinha Peres in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Barranceira SC had won after a very even match.
