Rafinha Peres started the match with the kick off. Manfredo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafinha Peres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafinha Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Manfredo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Rossi charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Rossi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, Sydney Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Frédson Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barranceira SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Frédson Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jardim fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Barranceira SC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wilian Netto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jardim's Manfredo Amaral. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafinha Peres in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manfredo Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Barranceira SC's Rafinha Peres in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jardim's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Barranceira SC's Afonsinho Senna got control of the ball when Nilton Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Manfredo Amaral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frédson Andrade's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the game, Fellipe Rodrigues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jardim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barranceira SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Jardim's Fellipe Rodrigues got a free kick in the 34th minute. Frédson Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cléberson Montenegro was the one to do the kick off. Frédson Andrade might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manfredo Amaral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frédson Andrade ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the game, one of Jardim:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 68th match minute, Barranceira SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney Rossi to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Jardim's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frédson Andrade fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basílio Jacinto during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Basílio Jacinto hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Rafinha Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frédson Andrade got free with Manfredo Amaral in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafinha Peres blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manfredo Amaral having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Barranceira SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
