Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ernesto Schmidt took the kick off in the first half of the match. Manfredo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When Ernesto Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Inveia AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Schmidt couldn't finish the play. Marco Leme's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfredo Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Samuel Rossi's late challenge caught a Jardim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Rossi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Samuel Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilton Monteiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 17thth minute, Nildo Dantas skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Armindo Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armindo Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jardim booed when Inveia AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Jardim's Fellipe Rodrigues got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Inveia AD's Gláuber Schmidt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Inveia AD's Marco Leme in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jardim's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Inveia AD's Marco Leme sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manfredo Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fellipe Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Nilton Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jardim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Nilton Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Dantas. Inveia AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nilton Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cléberson Montenegro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Jardim's Cléberson Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nildo Dantas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Manfredo Amaral was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Ernesto Schmidt capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ernesto Schmidt really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 61 played minutes Jardim got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Faria. In the 66th minute, Fábio Faria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Marco Leme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inveia AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Leme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfredo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marco Lemes short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Manfredo Amaral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 75th minute of the match Inveia AD got a corner. Jardim's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gláuber Schmidt ran over to the corner to take the kick. Nildo Dantas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilton Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Inveia AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
