After 3 played minutes, Parlandim SS's Luís Fábio Zonta shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robinho Guerra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Parlandim SS reached it. João Duarte didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Camargo went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. da Loop's Robinho Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Zonta in the 9th minute of play. Luís Fábio Zonta struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Robinho Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parlandim SS. Robinho Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fábio Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute Luís Fábio Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Fábio Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Parlandim SS's zone, Natanael do Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Duarte came out of the goal and Natanael do Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute of the game, Dênis Ramalho landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Hélio Bueno fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored da Loop's protests and gave Hélio Bueno a yellow card for diving instead. Parlandim SS's Zé Mangueira was substituted for Dênis Ramalho. A collision led to da Loop getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Hélio Bueno hit a great ball. Robinho Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Corrêa in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, da Loop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luiz Toledo to maneuver through the defense. da Loop's Robinho Guerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Zonta in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd match minute, da Loop was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Robinho Guerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fábio Zonta in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raimundo Corrêa to make the kick off. After 54 minutes of play, da Loop's Natanael do Nascimento made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Duarte was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Fábio Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Robinho Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Raimundo Corrêa took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Robinho Guerra to make any attempt to save it. Luís Fábio Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Mangueira hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. João Duarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natanael do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Parlandim SS got a freekick which was hit by Washington Cerezo. Parlandim SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fábio Zonta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robinho Guerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 89 played minutes da Loop got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Bueno.
