Benedito Neiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Toledo in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Elder Moreno notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Ivape's Enio Toledo. Enio Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Enio Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Moreno in the 26th minute of the match. Elder Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Enio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oswaldo da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Elder Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo da Rocha in the 38th minute of play forced Ivape's goalkeeper Enio Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Elder Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enio Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The Ivape players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Buritis EC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oswaldo da Rocha to make the kick off. Benedito Neiva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Josué Toledo's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. 53 minutes into the match, Buritis EC's goal looked a bit too open when Josué Toledo came free, but Benedito Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Oswaldo da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enio Toledo was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Oswaldo da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osmar Macedo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benedito Neiva. Buritis EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 92 minutes, Elder Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buritis EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elder Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Buritis EC booed when Ivape was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 minutes of play, Buritis EC's Elder Moreno made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enio Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there!
