Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Monteiro in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adalberto Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nildo Secco came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Adalberto Mineiro could save by the left post. Adalberto Mineiro had great luck who in the 8thth minute grab hold of the ball when Fausto Monteiro from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Fausto Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes of play, Caiana's Juvenal Rossi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adalberto Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Monteiro in the 15th minute of play forced Itanhomy's goalkeeper Adalberto Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Fausto Monteiro rounded Itanhomy's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Adalberto Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Monteiro in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Caiana booed when Itanhomy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fausto Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Adalberto Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th match minute, Itanhomy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denílson Xavier to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute, Caiana's Nildo Secco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adalberto Mineiro. Adalberto Mineiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo Secco got free with Adalberto Mineiro in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fausto Monteiro struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Adalberto Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caiana. Nildo Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Serginho Amaral fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adalberto Mineiro, passed just outside the right post. 48 minutes into the game, Fausto Monteiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adalberto Mineiro. Fausto Monteiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fausto Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Adalberto Mineiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Monteiro in the 55th minute of play. Adalberto Mineiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Monteiro in the 58th minute of the match. Fausto Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Mineiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Secco in the 65th minute of play forced Itanhomy's goalkeeper Adalberto Mineiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Itanhomy's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Amaral came free, but Adalberto Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adalberto Mineiro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Caiana's Fausto Monteiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Itanhomy's Adalberto Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Secco in the 78th minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, Caiana's Nildo Secco made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adalberto Mineiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Denílson Xavier hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute Caiana were awarded a corner. Ramón Prestes went to the cornerflag to take it. Caiana's Ramón Prestes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adalberto Mineiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nildo Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Itanhomy's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
