Percy Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Quirino having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Baixas's zone, Percy Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felipe Quirino came out of the goal and Percy Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 9 minutes into the game, Jardel Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baixas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumidouro SC the free kick. Jardel Leão hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Felipe Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Garcia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Digo Cosme during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Baixas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Digo Cosme to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Quirino made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Percy Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Percy Figueiredo's late challenge caught a Baixas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy Figueiredo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Baixas booed when Sumidouro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th match minute, Sumidouro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Arantes to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Percy Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumidouro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Percy Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felipe Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Emanuel Bueno suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Evaristo de Queirós hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Manuel das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Guimarães having to interfere. Percy Figueiredo in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felipe Quirino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Baixas's Felipe Quirino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Baixas from getting a goal against them. After 39 played minutes Sumidouro SC got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Cavalcante. In the 39th minute of the match Jardel Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wiliam Guimarães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nelson Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Felipe Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Quirino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percy Figueiredo in the 47th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Percy Figueiredo to make the kick off. Percy Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Felipe Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Guimarães having to interfere. Percy Figueiredo struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Felipe Quirino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sumidouro SC. Percy Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Felipe Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Baixas got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo de Queirós. In the 66th minute, Jardel Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Percy Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Baixas booed when Sumidouro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Sumidouro SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Arantes to maneuver through the defense. 75 minutes into the match, Baixas's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Figueiredo came free, but Felipe Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nelson Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felipe Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy Figueiredo in the 87th minute of play. When Percy Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Sumidouro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Percy Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Baixas's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Figueiredo came free, but Felipe Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Luís de Lara came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Sumidouro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís de Lara couldn't finish the play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Baixas's goalkeeper Felipe Quirino, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sumidouro SC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
