Afonso Trancoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SQUADRA 00. When Luisinho de Moraes came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the SQUADRA 00 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho de Moraes couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the game, Elivélton Moura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vila Palmeiras FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SQUADRA 00 the free kick. A collision led to Vila Palmeiras FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Elivélton Moura hit a great ball. João Carlos Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Sílvio Luiz França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SQUADRA 00's Sílvio Luiz França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Passos in the 24th minute of play. Remo Cruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Trancoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Jarbas Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júnior Passos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. In the 77th match minute, Vila Palmeiras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Bittencourt to maneuver through the defense. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
