Leopoldo Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alfredinho Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfredinho Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Platina SC's zone, Tostão Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Magno Nunes came out of the goal and Tostão Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Platina SC's Magno Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Platina SC from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute of the match, Eduardo Britto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Magno Nunes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Alfredinho Mattos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Carajari EC's Carlinhos Prestes got a free kick in the 23rd minute. If Eduardo Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Carajari EC's Tostão Eger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Magno Nunes. That made the score 1-0 after 31 minutes of play. 42 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Britto notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Carajari EC's Alfredinho Mattos. Alfredinho Mattos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eduardo Britto took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magno Nunes. Magno Nunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tostão Eger made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Carajari EC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Carlinhos Prestes hit a great ball. The supporters of Platina SC booed when Carajari EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magno Nunes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eduardo Britto's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Magno Nunes came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Carajari EC's Tostão Eger. But to his dismay, Tostão Eger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 62 minutes into the match, Platina SC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Britto came free, but Magno Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard, long distance shot from Carlinhos Prestes flew over the goal. In the 68th minute Cláudio Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Adelino Pirani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Carajari EC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Mattos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leopoldo Britto. In the 76th minute Eduardo Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute Tostão Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magno Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Eger in the 81st minute of play forced Platina SC's goalkeeper Magno Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Carajari EC's goalkeeper Alfredinho Mattos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the game, Tostão Eger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Magno Nunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute of the match, Leopoldo Britto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfredinho Mattos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Carlinhos Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Nunes having to interfere. Carajari EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
