An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Prado in the 9th minute of play forced Coutinho SC's goalkeeper Zé Carlos Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Víktor Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simão Zonta was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 13th match minute, Dragões de Santiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Víktor Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coutinho SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Simão Zonta managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Coutinho SC's Víktor Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Víktor Dias's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Simão Zonta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Dragões de Santiago FC's zone, Noel Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Zonta came out of the goal and Noel Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Coutinho SC booed when Dragões de Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Abraão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Simão Zonta. Dragões de Santiago FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Noel Tinoco in the 36th minute of play forced Dragões de Santiago FC's goalkeeper Simão Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Osvaldo Meirelles made a precise shot to the right of Zé Carlos Varela. Coutinho SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Noel Tinoco came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Coutinho SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noel Tinoco couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Noel Tinoco made the kick off in the second half. Zézinho Prado came free with the goalkeeper in the 53rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zé Carlos Varela could save by the left post. In the 56th minute Noel Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Zé Carlos Varela managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Dragões de Santiago FC's Zézinho Prado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 59th match minute, Dragões de Santiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesinha Trevisan to maneuver through the defense. Noel Tinoco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Simão Zonta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, Osvaldo Meirelles ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Carlos Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Noel Tinoco in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Zonta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Víktor Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Zonta having to interfere. Simão Zonta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Noel Tinoco went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Simão Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Tinoco in the 80th minute of the match. Noel Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Coutinho SC booed when Dragões de Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 85 minutes of play, Coutinho SC's Noel Tinoco made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Noel Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Víktor Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coutinho SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Víktor Dias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Coutinho SC booed when Dragões de Santiago FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. There was no doubt that Coutinho SC were the better team. Coutinho SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
