Pebas's Chico Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Peres in the 16th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pebas's goalkeeper Chico Dionísio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ismael Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nelson Cosme hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Chico Dionísio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Marquez in the 40th minute of play. Nelsinho Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pebas's goalkeeper Chico Dionísio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flávio Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ismael Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Gilmar Peres made the kick off in the second half. Anísio Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ismael Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Thiago Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Nelsinho Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd match minute, Pebas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emerson Zonta to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Igacaba SC's Nelsinho Marquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chico Dionísio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gilmar Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Pebas booed when Igacaba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nelson Cosme charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nelson Cosme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Nelsinho Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Igacaba SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelsinho Marquez couldn't finish the play. The Pebas supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Igacaba SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Igacaba SC.
