Chico Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Moisés Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráuzio de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Dionísio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Moisés Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atretis's supporters rose to their feet, but Moisés Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chico Dionísio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flávio Linares made a kick off. Pebas's Chico Dionísio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Pebas from getting a goal against them. Moisés Monteiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chico Dionísio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Moisés Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Atretis had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
