Mucaja's Ivo Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Carneiro in the 19th minute of play forced Joe Bartus FC's goalkeeper Joaquim Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivo Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivo Oliveira ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mucaja's Cléber Figueiredo in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Joe Bartus FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquim Berger should have stopped the shot. Joe Bartus FC's Joaquim Berger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber Figueiredo in the 47th minute of play. The Joe Bartus FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mucaja were winning 0-1.

Ivo Oliveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joaquim Berger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Joe Bartus FC's Inácio Nóbrega got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Ivo Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Joaquim Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luisinho Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustão Mendes in the 65th minute of the match. Joaquim Berger made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivo Oliveira in the 67th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo Oliveira got free with Joaquim Berger in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 87 played minutes Joe Bartus FC got a freekick which was hit by Inácio Nóbrega. The crowd rose to their feet as Cléber Figueiredo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Joaquim Berger. That made the score 0-2 in the 88 minute of play. In the 91st match minute, Joe Bartus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo de Godoi to maneuver through the defense. If Abelardo de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mucaja players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
