If Antônio Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 10th minute, but Chicão Pereira got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Raposas Azuis hanging dry this time. Chicão Pereira came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Mucaja's Ivo Oliveira. But to his dismay, Ivo Oliveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Chicão Pereira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivo Oliveira in the 31st minute. A hard shot 33 in the game by Ivo Oliveira from a close distance when the talented Chicão Pereira managed to make a qualified save. Raposas Azuis's players were relieved. Abelardo Dias hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Raposas Azuis's zone, Luiz Fabiano Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chicão Pereira came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Erik Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Mucaja defense, Antônio Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisinho Catarinense. The Mucaja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisinho Catarinense should have stopped the shot. Erik Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisinho Catarinense having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mucaja's zone, Abelardo Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisinho Catarinense came out of the goal and Abelardo Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 46 minutes into the match, Ivo Oliveira notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Raposas Azuis's Chicão Pereira. Chicão Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Ceresso made a kick off. Erik Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Luisinho Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Antônio Leão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luisinho Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Chicão Pereira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 64 played minutes Raposas Azuis got a freekick which was hit by Antônio Leão. In the 68th match minute, Raposas Azuis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Dias to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Raposas Azuis's goal looked a bit too open when Ivo Oliveira came free, but Chicão Pereira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Raposas Azuis's Arí Senna got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo Oliveira in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chicão Pereira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Erik Ceresso took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Luisinho Catarinense to make any attempt to save it. When Mucaja's Cléber Figueiredo in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Raposas Azuis's goalie prevented a goal. Cléber Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Pereira having to interfere. Ivo Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Chicão Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Raposas Azuis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
