Pokhrane's Mário Pimenta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Pokhrane from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mangaratu AD booed when Pokhrane was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 played minutes Pokhrane got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Porto. Aloísio Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Pimenta having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Eusébio Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Aloísio Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Mário Pimenta made a huge save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

51 minutes into the match, Pokhrane's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Paraibano came free, but Mário Pimenta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cafu Dantas didn't quite understand what happened when in the 79 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Mário Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aloísio Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Mangaratu AD's goalkeeper Reynaldo de Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chico Vides. Reynaldo de Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Raphael Silveira's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Duda de Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, Mangaratu AD's Reynaldo de Azevedo got control of the ball when Chico Vides tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Pokhrane supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pokhrane would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
