Bruno Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Akay's zone, Valério Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael Paranaense came out of the goal and Valério Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th minute Celso Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Zé Carlos Magalhães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 30th minute, Nilmar Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cavaleiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Akay the free kick. After 32 played minutes Cavaleiro got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Lima. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruno Lara in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natanael Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celso Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Manuel Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pedrinho Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Valério Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Lara in the 54th minute of play forced Akay's goalkeeper Natanael Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Natanael Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Lara in the 56th minute of play. Manuel Mazza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustão Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute Bruno Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natanael Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natanael Paranaense came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Cavaleiro's Valério Maciel. But to his dismay, Valério Maciel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 68 minutes into the match, Akay's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Lara came free, but Natanael Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natanael Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valério Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bruno Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Valério Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavaleiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Valério Maciel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Natanael Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natanael Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valério Maciel in the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Cavaleiro getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Pedro Luiz Sarmento hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the match, Cavaleiro's goal looked a bit too open when Juninho Macedo came free, but Manuel Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Valério Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Cavaleiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valério Maciel couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cavaleiro had won after a very even match.
