The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Boturobi's Jonas Pires got control of the ball when Elói Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Paiva in the 16th minute of the match. Jonas Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Paiva in the 18th minute of play. Elói Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Jonas Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Evaristo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 28 played minutes Descarreto AD got a freekick which was hit by Cafu da Mata. In the 30th minute Luís Eduardo Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elói Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Pires having to interfere. The supporters of Descarreto AD booed when Boturobi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvério Pombal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elói Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonas Pires made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Elói Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd match minute, Boturobi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Vides to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Elói Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Descarreto AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Elói Saldanha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonas Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ademir da Cunha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Elói Saldanha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio Gaúcho hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Descarreto AD's zone, Robinho Simão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Magalhães came out of the goal and Robinho Simão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robinho Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Evaristo Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinaldo Costa hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes, Luís Eduardo Paiva made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Boturobi's Jonas Pires tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luís Fábio Vides charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Fábio Vides the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Boturobi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Vides to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Boturobi's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Saldanha came free, but Jonas Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Eduardo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Pires having to interfere. Elói Saldanha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Pires having to make a save. If Luís Eduardo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ramiro Xavier hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Luís Eduardo Paiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
