After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Váldson Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Toritama AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolo Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Oscar Rossi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Meguerez SC's Manolo Velasco. Manolo Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
