The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eliseu da Fonseca to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão da Cunha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 65 minutes into the match, Paramano AD's Eliseu da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arí Madureira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 67 minutes into the game, Bebeto Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paramano AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Costao the free kick. In the 68th match minute, Paramano AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bebeto Toledo to maneuver through the defense. Cristóvão da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Novaes went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 85th minute Luiz Novaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristóvão da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Costao booed when Paramano AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Paulo Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Costao got a freekick which was hit by Albertino Fernandez. Paramano AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
