Virgílio Rocha made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Christian Zonta sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Renan Quaresma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Emanuel Ribeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. José Maria Antunes hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Renato Palmeira, 15 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Christian Zonta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgílio Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Christian Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Ribeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Kléber Arantes fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Emanuel Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Quaresma, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Munduri EC's Kléber Arantes got a free kick in the 44th minute. Renan Quaresma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Emanuel Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Minhas's Cássio Sabóia in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Munduri EC's goalie prevented a goal. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kléber Arantes made the kick off in the second half. Virgílio Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Zonta in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Minhas defense, Christian Zonta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgílio Rocha. The Minhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgílio Rocha should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Renan Quaresma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emanuel Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. When Kléber Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Munduri EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kléber Arantes couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd match minute, Munduri EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dedê Damião to maneuver through the defense. Renan Quaresma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emanuel Ribeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Minhas's Renan Quaresma sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Ribeiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Cássio Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Minhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Cássio Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Ribeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgílio Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kléber Arantes in the 83rd minute of play. If Cássio Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 88 minutes, Renan Quaresma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Minhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Quaresma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Munduri EC's Dedê Damião got a free kick in the 89th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Minhas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
