Laerte Senna showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. Egídio Lopes charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio Lopes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Carin AD getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Egídio Lopes hit a great ball. Apucaraninha SS's Ivo Nóbrega got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
