Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Donato Mota got the match started through his kick off. Ulysses Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jardel Duarte during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bate's Jardel Duarte got a free kick in the 4th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Donato Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peruje's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulysses Garcia in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidney de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Peruje's goalkeeper Armindo Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Tande. In the 18th minute, Donato Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sidney de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Mota, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. A collision led to Bate getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Arlindo Pinho hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Donato Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 29th minute, Rubinho de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rubinho de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Koehler having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Naldo Varela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peruje's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bate the free kick. Sidney de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubinho de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Armindo Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Peruje's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho de Barros came free, but Armindo Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Doriva Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armindo Koehler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho de Barros in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bate defense, Naldo Varela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sidney de Senna. The Bate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sidney de Senna should have stopped the shot. When Naldo Varela was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. In the 66th match minute, Peruje was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naldo Varela to maneuver through the defense. Armindo Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Tande's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Ulysses Garcia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute, Sidney de Senna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Peruje's Ulysses Garcia got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes, Rubinho de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bate and the Peruje players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ulysses Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidney de Senna having to interfere. Peruje's Dino de Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 95 minutes, Vágner Bezerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peruje and the Bate players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Peruje getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Vágner Bezerra hit a great ball.
