Cássio Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Pena having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Denílson Cardozo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederico Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cássio Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvério Pena having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Maciel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montalvao SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uxituba AD the free kick. After 29 played minutes Montalvao SS got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Maciel. Frederico Carneiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Félix in the 34th minute of play. Uxituba AD's Afonso Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Félix was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Cesinha Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frederico Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Caio Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gilberto Félix in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Frederico Carneiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 71st minute, Montalvao SS's Gilberto Félix dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Silvério Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Botelho in the 78th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Montalvao SS got a freekick which was hit by Rodriguinho Maciel. Luiz Guilherme Vidal hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Uxituba AD's Frederico Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Félix in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Denílson Cardozo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montalvao SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.
