Marco Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zeca França read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, Vargedo AD's Lauro Prestes got control of the ball when Mathias Botelho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mathias Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Lauro Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 80 played minutes Vargedo AD got a freekick which was hit by Marco Mineiro. In the 84th minute Marcelinho Vianna suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. Marquinhos de Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marquinhos de Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lauro Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias Botelho in the 90th minute of the match. Cristiano do Vale took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zeca França. Zeca França dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.
