Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Waldemar Damião kicked off to start the match. If Olavo da Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Garimpo EC's zone, Diamantino Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Senna came out of the goal and Diamantino Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Roncado getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roger Pimenta hit a great ball. The long shot by Carlos Ceresso in the 14th minute really tested Joel Matos's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Armando Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Armando Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Damião in the 19th minute of play. Wiliam Saldanha hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Duarte Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olavo da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garimpo EC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Roncado's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Carlos Ceresso took the corner. Olavo da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Joel Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Duarte Oliveira rounded Roncado's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duarte Oliveira to strike the kick off in the second half. Armando Senna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waldemar Damião in the 54th minute of the match. Joel Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo da Rocha in the 56th minute of the match. A collision led to Roncado getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Diamantino Nogueira hit a great ball. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Garimpo EC's goalkeeper Armando Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Duarte Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute of the match Belchior Matos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Armando Senna skillfully saved the ball. Armando Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Nogueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garimpo EC's Olavo da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garimpo EC's Armando Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Damião in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Garimpo EC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Nilmar Barros hit a great ball. Armando Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Olavo da Rocha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Matos having to make a save. Cléber Sarmento hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match Roncado got a corner. Garimpo EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Belchior Matos ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Roncado's Belchior Matos to fire away a dangerous shot which Armando Senna despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Garimpo EC had won after a very even match.
