Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Acácio Cearense kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benê Medeiros in the 3rd minute of play forced Mirasselvas's goalkeeper Cícero Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benê Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Ceresso having to interfere. Filipe Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Geovanni da Mata, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Marcos Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th minute Benê Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Humberto Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mirasselvas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piacaba SS the free kick. Humberto Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Piacaba SS's Rui Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Cearense in the 16th minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Marcos Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piacaba SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mirasselvas's zone, Cássio Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Ceresso came out of the goal and Cássio Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Fantini in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cícero Ceresso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cícero Simão came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Mirasselvas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cícero Simão couldn't finish the play. Acácio Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rui Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Cearense in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Acácio Cearense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rui Melo. The goal made the score 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcos Fantini to make the kick off. Cícero Simão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rui Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 minutes, Cícero Simão made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Piacaba SS's Rui Melo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rui Melo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Mirasselvas's Acácio Cearense. But to his dismay, Acácio Cearense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Rui Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Viana in the 70th minute of the match. Piacaba SS's Rui Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Simão in the 76th minute of play. Juninho Bueno charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juninho Bueno the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 78th minute, Juninho Bueno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Humberto Viana came free in the 80th minute and tried to tip the ball over Rui Melo, but to the joy of Piacaba SS's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Cícero Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mirasselvas's Filipe Castro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Mirasselvas were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Piacaba SS for a fine match.
