The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the match, Joazeirinho's Antônio de Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ernesto de Castro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ernesto de Castro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Allan de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan de Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Franklin Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacinto das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Igarate EC's zone, Antônio de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto de Castro came out of the goal and Antônio de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Igarate EC's Ernesto de Castro got control of the ball when Antônio de Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franklin Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Vasconcelos in the 34th minute of the match. Antônio de Amaral spun around in front of the goal 37 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Igarate EC's goal. Allan de Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto de Castro having to interfere. If Allan de Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto das Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Allan de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Joazeirinho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Ernesto de Castro came out of the goal and Allan de Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Antônio de Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabrício de Andrade hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Ernesto de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antônio de Amaral in the 64th minute of the match. Igarate EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Allan de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Ernesto de Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Joazeirinho. Fabrício de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Igarate EC's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio de Amaral came free, but Ernesto de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto de Castro having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Vasconcelos got free with Franklin Nóbrega in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joazeirinho's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Luiz Vasconcelos scored to the left of an out of position Franklin Nóbrega, making the score, 1-1. Despite being the better team, Joazeirinho failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
