A collision led to Igarate EC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. If Jacinto das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Seco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Vasconcelos in the 35th minute. Sydney Schmidt's late challenge caught a Marrecao AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney Schmidt helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Igarate EC's Sydney Schmidt got a free kick in the 37th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Marrecao AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto das Neves came free, but Adelino Seco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto das Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jacinto das Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Igarate EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto das Neves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelino Seco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Charles Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Ernesto de Castro made a huge save. Ernesto de Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Gustavo Corrêa in the 94th minute of the match. Fabrício de Andrade hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Igarate EC's Ernesto de Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo Corrêa in the 95th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Marrecao AD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Igarate EC.
