With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni Reis in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rodrigo Branco saved Sarandira AD from getting behind. With his leg Olívio Silveira managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Sarandira AD's Benjamim Favoretto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 14th minute, Vitório Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitório Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Rodrigo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Pedro Luiz Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aribao SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Geovanni Reis came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Aribao SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovanni Reis couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the game, Eusébio Diniz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sarandira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aribao SC the free kick. Eusébio Diniz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. If Paulo José Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Benjamim Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarandira AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamim Favoretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olívio Silveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rodrigo Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Reis in the 40th minute of the match. Vitório Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Rodrigo Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vitório Rosa made a kick off. Rodrigo Branco made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Geovanni Reis sent off a good shot on target. Rodrigo Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitório Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sarandira AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Aribao SC's Douglas Lira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rodrigo Branco. A collision led to Sarandira AD getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Clóvis Salgado hit a great ball. Geovanni Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Branco having to interfere. After 95 played minutes Sarandira AD got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Zonta. Sarandira AD's Rodrigo Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitório Rosa in the 97th minute of play. With his leg Rodrigo Branco managed to avoid a goal in the 99thth minute, when Aribao SC's Geovanni Reis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Aribao SC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
