Havai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacuba SS the free kick. Chicão Donato hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Hugo Prestes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Linhares in the 19th minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Jacuba SS's goalkeeper Tiago de Alcântara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Deivid Pires. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Valdomiro Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Havai's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdomiro Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiago de Alcântara breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ivo Rosa shot a long shot in the 38th minute and a light blocked Tiago de Alcântara hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-0. Chicão Donato hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Alex Linhares notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Havai's Hugo Prestes. Hugo Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Alex Linhares made the kick off in the second half. If Valdomiro Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Jacuba SS's goal looked a bit too open when Valdomiro Maia came free, but Tiago de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiago de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Havai's Valdomiro Maia. But to his dismay, Valdomiro Maia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 67 minutes into the match, Celso Vinhas notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Havai's Hugo Prestes. Hugo Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Valdo Mendonça was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 71 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 73 minutes, Jacuba SS's Fellipe Toledo got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Hugo Prestes. Celso Vinhas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Hugo Prestes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Alex Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Havai's Hugo Prestes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Havai from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, Havai's goalkeeper Hugo Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celso Vinhas. Celso Vinhas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Hugo Prestes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Deivid Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Jacuba SS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
