After a defensive mix-up in Lorena FC's zone, César Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer Matos came out of the goal and César Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luizão Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If César Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14thth minute of the game Tiago Coutinho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lorena FC's Eliézer Matos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Puei's Edu Valladares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Puei from getting a goal against them. When Joaquim Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Lorena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Cardozo couldn't finish the play. If Tiago Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edu Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Moreno in the 29th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Joaquim Cardozo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edu Valladares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliézer Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elano Cardozo got free with Edu Valladares in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, Elano Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Puei's César Travassos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliézer Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Puei's Edu Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Cardozo in the 56th minute of play. If Joélson Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by César Travassos during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. César Travassos hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, one of Lorena FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lorena FC. The referee gave Puei a penalty, 69 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Osvaldinho Vides, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Lorena FC's Eliézer Matos. 1-2. 73 minutes into the match, Puei's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Moreno came free, but Edu Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 78 minutes, Luizão Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lorena FC and the Puei players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luizão Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Geovani Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Eliézer Matos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 99th minute, Lorena FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after César Travassos fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The Lorena FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Puei's performance. The match ended with a win for Puei.
