In the 3rd minute, Juvenal Lago left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marreiros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Juvenal Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Branco having to interfere. 1-1 became the score in the 12th minute when Dráusio Gonçalves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Léo Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Juvenal Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Branco having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jeriba's Claudinei Lopes got a free kick in the 25th minute. Charles Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Léo Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Telmo Loureiro fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jeriba's protests and gave Telmo Loureiro a yellow card for diving instead. Telmo Loureiro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Léo Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juvenal Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Branco having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Juvenal Lago made a precise shot to the right of Charles Branco. Jeriba's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Jeriba booed when Marreiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dráusio Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Jeriba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráusio Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Léo Valle to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Jeriba's Digo do Vale got a free kick in the 51st minute. Juvenal Lago who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Charles Branco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Charles Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Valle in the 58th minute of play. Juvenal Lago's late challenge caught a Jeriba's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juvenal Lago helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Marreiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Lago to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute, Anselmo Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Thiago Quaresma. Marreiros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Anselmo Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Marreiros's Adolfo Romero got a free kick in the 66th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dráusio Gonçalves in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Quaresma saved Marreiros from getting behind. The supporters of Jeriba booed when Marreiros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dráusio Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juvenal Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Branco having to interfere. Juvenal Lago scored 3-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dráusio Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Charles Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Jeriba supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Marreiros's performance. The match ended with a win for Marreiros.
