Erasmo Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erasmo Cabral struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Samuca Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grajau AD. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Erasmo Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grajau AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Erasmo Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th minute, Erasmo Cabral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Samuca Pires. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Cunha in the 25th minute of play forced Saboga EC's goalkeeper Samuca Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Benjamim Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grajau AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamim Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Pires breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronaldinho de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. A collision led to Grajau AD getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Júlio Cunha hit a great ball. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grajau AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcos Queirós was slow to take the kick. During this time Saboga EC's players had a chance to rest. With his leg Samuca Pires managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Grajau AD's Benjamim Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albertino de Castro during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albertino de Castro hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With his leg Samuca Pires managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Grajau AD's Benjamim Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Samuca Pires came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Grajau AD's Benjamim Cunha. But to his dismay, Benjamim Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erasmo Cabral made a kick off. Samuca Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Benjamim Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gilvan Rosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Ronaldinho de Medeiros made a huge save. The supporters of Saboga EC booed when Grajau AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Grajau AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Saboga EC:s goal. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Saboga EC. Marcos Queirós stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ronaldinho de Medeiros. 3-3. In the 88th minute, Erasmo Cabral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamim Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Samuca Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 98 played minutes Grajau AD got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Cabral.
