No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amílton do Vale to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton do Vale in the 56th minute of play forced Naque's goalkeeper João Francisco Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Francisco Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A collision led to Naque getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Silas Faustino hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the match, Croata's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Quintal came free, but Ernani de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th match minute, Croata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elder Teles to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinei Vianna got free with Ernani de Toledo in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amílton do Vale struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. João Francisco Xavier didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croata. In the 84th minute Antônio Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Francisco Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Croata's Jaime Palmeira got a free kick in the 85th minute. Mathias de Lara hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The supporters of Naque booed when Croata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Croata walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
