With an all-out effort, Bezerros's Flavinho Almeida threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zé Roberto Borges, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Bismarque booed when Bezerros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Bismarque's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Borges came free, but Flavinho Almeida reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bezerros's zone, Aníbal Cosme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fábio Loyola came out of the goal and Aníbal Cosme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aníbal Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aníbal Cosme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bismarque had played much better football throughout.
