José Pedro Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Vale in the 3rd minute of play. José Pedro Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Miranda in the 5th minute of the match. José Vítor Vergílio kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. If Cauã Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes in the game, Ademar Miranda dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The Montevideu fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when Montevideu's Ademar Miranda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 42 played minutes Montevideu got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Vale. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ademar Miranda in the 49th minute of play forced Italia SS's goalkeeper José Pedro Silveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcinho Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. Diogo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Silveira having to interfere. Marcinho Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Diogo Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Noel Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcinho Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Italia SS's zone, Diogo Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Pedro Silveira came out of the goal and Diogo Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diogo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. José Pedro Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Elder Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Montevideu's Diogo Vale slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Pedro Silveira. That made the score 1-3 after 86 minutes of play. Marcinho Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Montevideu could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Italia SS throughout the match.
