After a rather tough play, Guaragi SS's Dalmo Rodrigues got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute Carlos Alberto de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Carlos Alberto de Queirós made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristóvão da Mata during the 51st minute. They were angered to see Guaragi SS lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
